Caitlin Clark injury update: Will Fever superstar return this week?

Indiana Fever superstar guard Caitlin Clark missed Sunday's road win against the Las Vegas Aces, but her return from a back injury could be on the horizon.

Clark told reporters last week that she feels optimistic about returning for one of the team's back-to-back road games this week against the Los Angeles Sparks (Wednesday) and Phoenix Mercury (Thursday).

Clark has missed three games this season; one in May and the last two for the Fever with a back ailment. She took a hard closeout during her last game, a home loss to the Mercury, that possibly re-aggravated the back issue.

If Clark can return for Indiana, that's a huge boost, as the team is 3-1 in its last four games.

We'll see if Clark can return for either the Sparks or Mercury games.

Yes, she and teammates Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston are all WNBA All-Star starters.
