The USA have now confirmed their team for the upcoming FIBA World Cup, with some big names featuring.
The next instalment of the FIBA World Cup will take place from September 4 to September 13 next month.
This tournament will be hosted in Germany, and the USA team has now been shared on social media.
As per Alexa Philippou: “USA Basketball announced its roster for the upcoming FIBA World Cup: Aliyah Boston, Paige Bueckers, Caitlin Clark, Napheesa Collier, Kahleah Copper, Chelsea Gray, Rhyne Howard, Kelsey Plum, Angel Reese, Breanna Stewart, A’ja Wilson, Jackie Young.”
However, there was one rather notable omission as Olivia Miles is not set to travel to Europe next month.
Miles was named the WNBA Rookie of the Month for a third consecutive time recently and has been floated as an MVP candidate.
On the players who have been selected, national team managing director Sue Bird said: “I’m so excited to announce the 2026 USA Basketball Women’s National Team.
“This is an incredibly talented group that has earned the opportunity to compete in Berlin. Wearing a USA jersey is a privilege, and I know these 12 players will embrace that responsibility as we go after another gold medal. I can’t wait to see what this team accomplishes together.”
