Lakers are playing the Griz and Bynum looks like he may have blown his knee out. At the least, he hurt it very badly. He walked off on one leg.

Hopefully, it's nothing too serious even though it would help the Suns, who can't beat the Lakers this year.

I can't see the game but hopefully it's not too serious.

Preliminary diagnosis is a sprained knee. X-Rays were negative and he'll have an MRI on Monday.

they interviewed him after the game and he said it feels fine to move it and put weight on it. he said he's fine, it only hurts slightly when he walks forward.

The Lakers won that game by fouling the crap out of the grizzlies Kyle Lowry on the last shot (potential game winning layup) and no foul was called so the lakers won. The game was actually tied at 99 all with 9.8 seconds left and Kwame Brown hit 1 out of 2 fts to take a 1pt lead so the refs made a call for the lakers but not the Grizz.

Yeah I saw the Lowry replay. Not only was Kwame in the restricted area he was jumping with his chest leading.

Sadly, the first thing I thought of was "There goes my fantasy team!"

too bad for the Lakers if Bynum got injured seriously

I have no sympathy for the Lakers, but I harbor no ill will for Bynum. I hope he's alright. He seems like an awesome young talent.

Bynum out 4-8 weeks. Congrats Sun's fans, you might actually win a game against us this season.

The lakers seem more snake bitten than the suns this year with odom, bynum. kwame, mihn all missing major time. Its a pity, so many injuries in these meaningless regular season games. The lakers have looked good this year in the regular season, they look much better with fish at the point. If they can stay healthy, they just may be able to beat the suns when it matters this year, and without dick bavetta to rescue them. AS the mavs fans would say the regular season dont mean a whole lot. Hell Popovich would tell you that, he holds his players out of games for a hangnail(and is 6-8 in the last 14 games to prove it).

Lakers fans sure come out of the woodwork when they don't suck as bad as the last few years. They will come back to earth and Kobe will be wanting to bail again. Its January and people as well as the media want the Lakers to be good, but its JANUARY lets see where they stand in a month or two.

Man that sucks Byunm is out 8 weeks was looking forward to him playing vs the suns this upcoming week :(. Plus if the suns beat the lakers I would rather have them beating the lakers at full strength then with one of their key peaices missing... Best wishes to Bynum hope he comes back and does what he was doing before the injury

Well without Bynum the Lakers are at best a middle of the pack WC team. Still if Bynum makes a full recovery and gets back into playing shape by the playoffs I think a lot of top ranked teams are gonna be ******** bricks. Nobody outside of SAS is gonna want to face LAL in the 1st round.

Doubt anyone is going to fear the Lakers, now that Bynum has shown he isn't useless he is gonna get what most big guys get, double teams and is gonna have a much harder time. Its funny how when a player isn't known or respected he can go off for awhile, now teams have seen him and are gonna game plan for him. Think he will come back to earth a little. Still I don't see any of the top seeds in the west fearing the lakers, they are playing over their head not gonna last all season.

It's good to see that Bynum, in his third year in the league, finally approached the numbers that Amare put up in his rookie season.

The fact he'll be out next time we play the Lakers takes a little away from the game, but Hill will be out too.

I wouldnt under rate the lakers so casually, they have alot of talent and experience as well. I'll bet most of the teams dont want to see them in the first round, and if bynum is doubled, who will be open? Perhaps Odom, or fisher, not so easy to stop. Fisher will knock down open shots and odom is a handful one-on-one. Or perhaps radman will be wide open from 3, doesnt sound that good to me.

Defenitely, Stern has gigantic wood for a Lakers-Celtics finals. I could see him pulling just about anything to make this happen.

eh, i feel bad for bynum, but won't cry for the lakers for their injuries. at least most of their injuries are during the season. if they want to talk about injuries, lets talk about them occurring during the playoffs when you're a legit contender.

also, this is a lakers team that is the huge beneficiary of the jazz being magnanimous enough to let fisher outta his contract. remember, that was not some savvy move on the part of the lakers, that was pure luck (and i cringe to say that considering that it was fish's daughter's bad luck) that lead fish back to the lakers. in fact, if his daughter is in the free and clear i think the lakers, fish, jazz, and nba should really all agree that fish return to the jazz and play out that contract. it doesn't seem right that a team (in this case the lakers) get to benefit due to fish's daughter's illness. wouldn't it just suck if the lakers knocked the jazz outta the playoffs and fish played a big role in it? if i was fish i'd have to really look in the mirror - ah, i guess that's ridiculous considering he really did it for his daughter - but i guess i find myself conflicted with all this, and did at the time he signed with the lakers as well. glad that his daughter is recovering though.

I had a trade pending from Thursday with me giving up Calderon Okafor and Bell for Anthony and Bynum. Bastard accepted today before I could get home...
