I would say yes. They could release Payton and convert the 2-way. But I’m not sure that is legal given how close we are to the playoffs. In that case, playing Payton makes even less sense.

It's 3, the best those teams can do is 59-23. If we win 3 more games we get to 60 wins and thus clinch the first seed.

I thought there was a deadline for any signed free agent to be eligible for the playoffs. And Iffe isn’t even in the “regular” roster.

I'm not sure of the date but Gabriel is not a traded player. There is a cutoff date for traded players that is already past.

A player could be waived and Lundberg could be converted from a two-way contract to a regular roster spot before the playoffs.

If there is a rule prohibiting it, I'd like to know.

You know what I was the happiest about this game? Booker had the opportunity to jack a terrible shot for a 2-for-1 at the end of the 3rd, but DID NOT. They ran it down and got a good look (I think Payton missed a runner) instead.
