when we didn't have a pass rush last year rallis utilized him all over the field - now with the 4 and 5 man fronts budda just holds his own section of zone down until he figures out where the ball is going

Neither starting safety is good in coverage, yet they continue to often be in key spots and get pick on. DTD sits and can do it all. Baker will likely go to the Pro Bowl since it’s popularity based.

Been a great Cardinal but I really wonder what we could get for him and if it's anything decent why not do it? We play so many safeties that we'd have to change things if we trade him but he's just not getting it done here now.

The INT drop was brutal and at the end of the game he literally ran to the lead blocker like he thought he was turning Taylor inside but there was nobody inside to tackle him. At least TRY to get the runner you probably don't stop him but try.

He dropped an easy interception today that wouldn’t have changed the outcome IMHO

His run fits are pathetic

His middle of field coverage is usually non existent

Poor play by him today
Last week as well

I am the quickest to give him a pass. My favorite Cardinal. He has NOT been good this year. That play would have gone a long way in reversing the course of his season.

So overrated
He’s not overrated, he’s just being used, DUE TO INJURIES, in areas that are NOT his strengths. He was really good last year because he wasn’t needed in coverage. We’ve lost so many corners, and the corners we have are young and inexperienced. So we need him to lend support in coverage.

If he’s expected to cover he is. We wasn’t overrated last year when we used him closer to the LOS. I don’t think the Cardinals expected to lose 3 starting CB’s as early on as they did.

Budda has been living off that int vs the Seahawks outside of last year. And he was great that year no doubt.

2021,2022, 2023, and 2025 were just ok year-round performances.

He'll make the Pro Bowl again though.

If you can’t use a safety to cover, he sucks. Get another safety.

God forbid one of the highest paid safeties in football is actually expected to cover sometimes! What an outrageous concept!

Also, SMB was trash as a starting CB last year and everyone here (probably including you) was touting in the offseason that either Melton or Johnson should start over him so this narrative that we’re down 3 starting CBs is bunk.

Hard to argue your point. Budda has horrible hands, always has. Rabbit is by far our best cover safety. I believe Melton & Johnson will be a great tandem once they both get more experience. In the meantime, we’re not getting enough pressure from our DL to help them while they develop.
