Tristan Wirfs was drafted by the Buccaneers in 2020, and it was a pick by Jason Licht and his staff that would change the trajectory of the franchise. One Super Bowl and several Pro Bowls later, Wirfs has become a fan favorite and someone well-respected by his current and former teammates.
Speaking of former teammates, Wirfs recently spoke about one notable one that fans may remember.
Wirfs was recently on the Calm Down Podcast hosted by Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson and made a playful jab at his former quarterback, Tom Brady. Wirfs and Brady have always had a fun relationship and it lead to the former Hawkeyes offensive tackle addressing the added stress he had of protecting Brady.
""Yeah, Tom was my QB. They were like, 'Don't let anybody touch him, ' and I was like, 'Alright, I'll try my best' — he's fragile, he's old. Not that old, not that old!. . .He's like, two years younger than my mom. Sorry, sorry, sorry!".
It was a fun listen, and Bucs fans could enjoy it as they prepare for the draft.
