ORLANDO – Milwaukee will wrap up a “baseball series” in Orlando tonight as they face the Magic for the second time in three days at the Kia Center and the Bucks hope to get back on the winning track before the all-star break.

The Bucks’ offense stalled out in a 19-point loss to the Magic on Feb. 9, ending their first winning streak of the season at three games. After taking an off day in Florida between games, the Bucks now face Orlando and Oklahoma City on back-to-back nights.

In losing to the Magic on Feb. 9, the Bucks missed a chance to gain a game on every play-in team in the Eastern Conference, including the Magic. They enter game play tonight with a 21-30 record, which is in 12th place in the East. The Magic are 28-24 and in the top play-in position in seventh.

Milwaukee currently trails Miami (8th, 28-27), Atlanta (9th, 26-29) and Charlotte (10th, 25-29). The Bucks also trail the Chicago Bulls (11th, 24-30) in the standings.

Is Giannis Antetokounmpo playing?

No.

The Bucks superstar will miss his seventh straight game with a strained soleus muscle in his right calf. He has been out since Jan. 23 with the injury.

What is the Bucks record without Giannis?

5-16

The Bucks are 15-15 if Antetokounmpo plays any number of minutes in a game.

Is Giannis playing in the all-star game?

Despite his injury, and a self-diagnosis of a four- to-six-week recovery period, Antetokounmpo has yet to be replaced for the NBA All-Star game by commissioner Adam Silver. Antetokounmpo was voted in to start. He missed the exhibition last year due to a left calf strain, but he did “play” in 2023 when he sprained a wrist. He was on the court for a single possession, dunked the ball and then subbed out.

Milwaukee Bucks injury report

  • Taurean Prince, out (neck surgery)
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo, out (right calf strain)
  • Ryan Rollins, questionable (right foot plantar fasciitis)
  • Pete Nance, questionable (left ankle sprain)
