The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are officially underway with training camp after veteran players reported to the AdventHealth Training Center on Tuesday.
Tuesday's schedule centered on pre-camp physicals, conditioning work and meetings. Veteran players completed medical evaluations throughout the morning before participating in conditioning and attending the club's first full team meeting of training camp. Additional meetings followed throughout the afternoon before players checked into the team's hotel ahead of an 11:00 p.m. curfew.
The Buccaneers enter camp with 91 players on the roster. Tampa Bay is permitted to exceed the league's standard 90-man offseason roster limit because offensive tackle Paul Rubelt qualifies for the NFL's International Player Pathway Program exemption as a native of Germany.
Thursday will mark the first practice open to fans. Per NFL training camp rules, the Buccaneers will ease into full-contact work over the opening week. Players will practice in helmets only during the first two sessions, then add "spider" pads for the following two practices. Full pads are scheduled to come on for the first time on Monday, Aug. 3.
The NFL's mandatory acclimation period also requires players to receive a day off after every three consecutive practice days, meaning Tampa Bay's first scheduled off day will come Saturday.
With the full roster now in place, the focus shifts from offseason preparation to competition as position battles begin across the depth chart and the Buccaneers take the first steps toward the 2026 regular season.
