Bryce Young's demands will be heard.

The Carolina Panthers quarterback extended his displeasure with some of the receivers for dropping passes in the rain at the start of Tuesday's NFL offseason-training activities (OTAs).

When the weather started to clear at the practice fields behind Bank of America Stadium and the 2023 No. 1 overall draft choice witnessed some of the same mistakes, he garnered the attention of anyone within earshot:

"It's not raining anymore," Young said, standing before his teammates, his arms extended. "Clean this **** up. It's not ******* raining.

"We need better execution."

It appears Young is maturing into a more vocal leader.

With the fifth year of his rookie deal guaranteed, Young's near-term future is secure.

The 2021 Heisman Trophy recipient is playing the long game, though. Next season, Young, who guided the franchise to its first NFC South championship since 2015, continues to target a long-term, second contract. If he establishes more career passing marks in 2026, Young will seek a payday with the Panthers.

Enduring early career troubles, Young continues to evolve as a player and team leader.

Panthers coach Dave Canales grinned and said: "I love it. I heard him get a little passionate.

"We got a little bit of a monsoon for a second at practice. When the rain passed, (Young said), 'Hey let's lock back in. We gotta come up with those balls. He said it in more colorful language than that.

"I love it that he's taking ownership of that and the guys see that and rally around that."
