The Cleveland Browns have made huge upgrades to their offense as a whole, and, now with their first pick on Day 2 of the 2026 NFL draft, to the wide receiver room by double-dipping to add Denzel Boston to go with KC Concepcion. Boston’s size, strength, and catch radius make him a high-quality redzone threat and outside receiver, with Concepcion providing the speed and quickness attributes needed in a diverse offense.
A look at Boston’s college profile:
Stats & Accolades
- 2022: (4 games played), 2 receptions, 15 receiving yards
- 2023: (14 games played, 1 start), 5 receptions, 51 receiving yards
- 2024: (13 games played, 13 starts), 63 receptions, 834 receiving yards, 9 receiving touchdowns, Honorable Mention All-Big Ten
- 2025: (12 games played, 11 starts), 62 receptions, 881 receiving yards, 11 receiving touchdowns, Third-Team All-Big Ten
What the Browns are getting:
Big-bodied wideout who does not shy away from contact or contested catch situations. In fact, he thrives in them. With 20 touchdowns over the past two seasons, Boston knows how to get his hands on the ball and be the one to come up with it when the dust settles. For his size, his routes are smooth, and he knows how to win with releases. However, the “win” quickly dissipates as the route goes on, and faster defenders are able to get back into position. It’s a plus then that Boston is able to make up for it with his strength and ball skills at the catch point. He’s not likely a bona fide WR1 at the next level, but there’s more than enough room for a role on any team that needs a guy who can go up and make his quarterback right more often than not.
