The latest episode of the Brotherhood Podcast is out, and this one is pretty cool: it’s Sion James interviewing John Blackwell.
Both of them followed similar paths to Duke, transferring after three years at Tulane, in James’ case, and Wisconsin in Blackwell’s.
James probes Blackwell a bit about his background, what he thought when he got to campus, and some other personal questions.
James also talks about his decision to choose Duke, and that it happened very fast. When he got here, campus was basically a ghost town, because everyone had graduated, and most of the previous team had gone on to the NBA or transferred.
It’s a pretty cool thing to listen to as the pair compare notes and their impressions of Duke, including their experience at the K Academy, and a forecast of several Day 1 injuries.
That seems obvious now. All of the participants are older, and injuries are certainly going to happen.
Anyway, it’s a fun discussion you won’t want to miss.
