KENT CITY — Diannah Schwartz of Centreville is now a four-time state champion.
Last weekend at the Division 3 MHSAA state track and field finals in Kent City, Schwartz won all four of her adaptive events to secure those state titles.
Schwartz ran to first in the 100 ambulatory race at 18.53 seconds. Her time in the 200 was 41.37 seconds, and she posted a 1:45.74 time in the 400 as well. Schwartz locked up first place in the shot put with a distance of 18-10.25 feet. She set new state records for Division 3 in all four events.
Bronson had an individual state champion as well. Brayden Fritz bested the field in Division 3 with a discus throw of 164-2 feet to earn the state title.

In team scoring, Bronson and Centreville boys each tied for 24th place with 10 points. Constantine was 39th with five points. The Constantine girls finished 42nd with four points.
Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central won for the boys with 39, Elk Rapids finished second with 32 and Reed City tied with Ann Arbor Greenhills for third with 31.
The girls event was won by Olivet with an impressive 82 points. Lansing Catholic was second with 76 and Pewamo-Westphalia finished third with 61.5 points.
The Centreville boys finished with a couple of all-state performances.
Matthew Bates was fourth overall in the discus event at 156-11. He finished eighth in the shot put at 50-8 3/4 as well.

Will Hulin earned all-state in the mile at 4:24.45. He finished 11th in the two-mile race at 9:49.54.
Centreville's 400 relay team of Brendan Sre, Dylan Schwartz, Brayden Swanwick and Deandre Sout took 17th. Their time was 44.65 seconds.
The mile relay team of Stout, Swanwick, Micaiah Sylvester and Hulin posted 3:38.91 for 30th. In the two-mile, the team of Riley Monson, Bryce Hekter, Henry Sloat and Max Reed ran to 9:17.64 for 31st.
For the girls, Lena Reed completed 33-5 feet in the shot put for 17th. The two-mile relay team of Berkley Shingledecker, Emma Boucas, Kate Hulin and Ellie Reed was 14th; their time was 10:27.78.
In the mile relay, Centreville's team of Shingledecker, Hulin, Kaylyn Coney and Reed ran a time of 4:17.11 for 15th. The 400 relay of Nevaeh Prichard, Leah Roberts, Shingledecker and Coney posted 52.09 for 17th.
Bronson's Fritz was 19th in the shot put at 47-5. Miriam Sanchez ran to 20th overall in the 800 run at 2:28.55.
D2 STATE FINALS RECAP: Sturgis, Three Rivers track and field deliver all-state performances at D2 finals
For Constantine, freshman Chase Manes earned all-state in the shot put. He finished fourth with a distance of 52-0.75. Ryan Manes placed 23rd in the 400 run at 54.61.
The two-mile relay team of Alessandro Avila, Aaron Hofmeister, Luke Platz and Bear Geibe ran to 17th at 8:28.30.
Aaron Hochstetler finished 10th in the pole vault. He cleared 12-9.
For the mile relay, Constantine was 28th. The team of Ryan Manes, Hofmeister, Cael Smith and Geibe ran a time of 3:37.15 for 28th.
The Constantine girls mile relay team earned all-state. The team of Jaedyn Herlein, Kaitlyn Jones, Kailee Jones and Morgan Niblock ran a time of 4:11.27 to finish fifth overall.
Herlein was ninth in the 300 hurdles at 47.60. The 800 relay team of Jones, Jones, Niblock and Herlein finished 14th at 1:50.12.
In the two-mile relay, Constantine's team of Niblock, Ashlynn Michalek, Allison Burns and Kailee Jones were 13th at 10:23.41.
Eliza VandenBerg was 10th in the shot put at 34-8.25 and 15th in the discus at 107-1.
