We know the Denver Broncos will be on the road in Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football and then again on Black Friday at the Pittsburgh Steelers. This will be the seventh consecutive year Denver has faced the Jets. They will have played in nine of the last ten seasons now. You’d think with how bad the Jets are and have been, that the Broncos would be dominating this matchup. Dating back to 2020, Denver is a solid 4-2 but has by no means dominated the matchup.
In fact, the two teams have been embroiled in a defensive slugfest in recent years. In their last two games, the Broncos have won both but by a combined score of 23-20. One a 10-9 affair and last year a 13-11 slog.
With such a late season matchup and on the road, this could end up being a critical game for Denver to win in a tough AFC. Of these last nine matchups, not a single one occurred beyond October. This could be a late season cold one, but I still think Denver should be favored to win this game regardless.
