The Denver Broncos fell to the New England Patriots with a 10-7 loss in the AFC Championship game on Sunday. Following that defeat, here are Denver's best (and worst) player grades from Pro Football Focus.

Broncos best offensive players

  • OT Mike McGlinchey: 82.1
  • TE Evan Engram: 71.7
  • OT Garett Bolles: 69.7
  • RB Tyler Badie: 67.4
  • OG Ben Powers: 67.1
  • WR Marvin Mims: 66.5

It was an underwhelming day overall for the offense, but Mims provided a spark with a 52-yard catch in the first quarter. That led to Denver's only touchdown of the game. The Broncos would be wise to get Mims more involved as a receiver in 2026.

Broncos worst offensive players

  • TE Adam Trautman: 31.1
  • QB Jarrett Stidham: 45.6
  • RB Jaleel McLaughlin: 49.6
  • FB Adam Prentice: 50.8
  • WR Courtland Sutton: 52.3

Stidham's day started well, but his costly fumble led to New England's touchdown and his late interception ended Denver's chances of a comeback win.

Broncos best defensive players

  • CB Pat Surtain: 84.6
  • DB Talanoa Hufanga: 81.4
  • DB Devon Key: 80.3
  • LB Alex Singleton: 79.3
  • DB Dre Greenlaw: 74.4

Surtain remains one of the best players in the NFL, and Hufanga was a great free agent addition in 2025.

Broncos worst defensive grades

  • CB Riley Moss: 49.8
  • DL D.J. Jones: 54.1
  • OLB Dondrea Tillman: 56.1
  • DL Malcolm Roach: 56.2
  • DL Zach Allen: 60.0

Denver's defense held New England to 6-of-18 (33%) on third downs with just 65 net passing yards on the day, but it wasn't enough to secure a win.

Broncos special teams grades

  • ST Kris Abrams-Draine: 73.4
  • LS Mitchell Fraboni: 64.5
  • KR Marvin Mims: 61.6
  • P Jeremy Crawshaw: 69.3
  • K Wil Lutz: 49.4 (FG) 60.0 (KO)

Lutz missed a 54-yard field goal attempt in the second quarter and he had a 45-yard attempt blocked in the fourth quarter. To view more player grades from the AFC title game, visit the paid version of PFF's website.

Up next on the NFL's offseason calendar are the Pro Bowl Games in San Francisco on Tuesday, Feb. 3. Denver had six players elected to this year's Pro Bowl, and seven other players were named alternates for the all-star flag football game.
