The Denver Broncos have made their first in-house signing of the 2026 NFL free agency cycle.
Just a few hours after news broke that offensive lineman Alex Palczewski was set to return on a two-year contract, the team officially announced the signing on Thursday evening. Terms of the deal are not yet known, but a right of first refusal tender would have paid "Palcho" $3.547 million in 2026, so it seems safe to assume it's more than that.
Palcezewski was a restricted free agent, but Denver opted to re-sign him to a multi-year deal instead of using a tender that would have allowed him to negotiate with other clubs. The versatile lineman is now signed through the 2027 season, and the Broncos have 20 remaining pending free agents.
The NFL's 2026 free agency negotiating window will open on March 9, followed by the start of the new league year (and free agency) on March 11. Any in-house pending free agents who do not get extensions before March 9 will be eligible to negotiate with other clubs.
