Every season in the NFL, you can look forward to a player coming out of nowhere and solidifying their name at the top of everyone's minds. Let's take a look at who could shoot up the depth chart of notable NFL names, from the hardcore fan all the way to the casual one, and break out this season.
Detroit Lions: WR - Isaac TeSlaa
The Lions are loaded on offense, which makes it a bit of a crowded room for someone to break out like WR3 Isaac TeSlaa. Last season, he only had 16 catches for 239 yards, but 6 of them went for touchdowns, and he showed great size and strength to be a weapon. He will look for a larger role this year from quarterback Jared Goff, especially in the red zone, if Amon-Ra St. Brown, Sam LaPorta, Jameson Williams, or Jahmyr Gibbs are being double-teamed.
Green Bay Packers: WR - Matthew Golden
Matthew Golden is another player who should take on a larger role for the Packers following the departures of Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks. Another WR3 alongside Christian Watson and Jayden Reed, who could sneak into the WR2 territory fairly easily. Green Bay has plenty of room for another weapon for QB Jordan Love.
Los Angeles Chargers: RB - Omarion Hampton
The Chargers' offensive line was atrocious last year, and despite that, Omarion Hampton ran for 545 yards in nine games as a rookie. The O-line woes have been addressed, and hopefully Justin Herbert can benefit from that as well, instead of running for his life every play. With Mike McDaniel at the helm as the offensive coordinator, the run game and Hampton should benefit from a heavier workload if he stays healthy. Hampton could be a top ten rusher in the NFL in 2026.
