Bradshaw Comment on Cards...

The Cardinals continue to impress me. They played great against the Saints, who I still can't figure out. You can just see the Cardinals turning it around. Heck, they played the Falcons better last week than the Panthers did on Sunday. Explain that to me. I can't name three guys on that Arizona defense, but they are flying around, making plays.
Think of the microscope that Joe Gibbs is under in Washington. Well, Gibbs is 1-3 just like Dennis Green is. But Green, he's flying a stealth bomber. Some people in Arizona probably don't even know they have a team and he's coaching it. I'm telling you, Green could be the first coach to win four or five games and be named coach of the year. He's doing that good of a job.

Tom Jackson gave props to Green too on ESPN's highlight show before the Sunday night game. He said that Green is doing good things and that he is underrated. He too mentioned Gibbs' failures.

We have played 4 good games on defense and the O finally executed. We could just as easily be 3-1 or 2-2 instead of 1-3. The record does not reflect how improved this team is from last year.

We are headed in the right direction folks and Green is leading the way. We need to give him space and let him make the moves. The draft is paying off and the guys from last year (Johnson/Pace) are showing improvement. This is coaching pure and simple.

My expectations are simple. Be competetive in all 16 games, no blow out losses. Have a chance to win in the 4th. Win 4 games.

So far, my expectations are being met and, very well could be exceeded.

While only 95 or so, it was still pretty hot. From my seats on the west side, looking at the crowd over on the sunny east side (who faced directly into the sun), you saw the constant flutter of the little hand fans the gave out coming into the game, made it look the shimmer of heat rising off the pavement.

This should be the last hot game of the season. In two weeks against Seattle, it should be below 90. “Should” being the operative word – because it could very well be like yesterday.

A win against the 49ers and decent weather should put more fans in the seats – not a sell out by any stretch, but certainly more than the showing of hardcores yesterday.

The combined record of the teams the Cards played in their first four games (excluding the results vs the Cards) is 8-3.

The combined record the next four teams the Cards play is 3-11, with three of the next four on the road (and against winless teams – SF, Buff and Miami).

Because I was watching it over numerous PBRs at the Lampost Pizza in Davis, CA.

Which reminds me, I need to change my profile.

What's funny is that they cameras seem to actively try to make the crowd look sparse. About 85% of the shots were empty sections. Sometimes, you could see the crowds. Maybe it's just because they were always aiming the camera toward the end zones, or something.

My in-laws sit in the North end zone and it got too hot there in the second half. They left and sat in their car with the AC on the whole 4th period. Many others in that section did the same.

the 28,000 is a fair assessment. I would have guessed 29,000-30,000.

The sun was brutal, as usual.

The TV didn't show that the lower bowl on the east side was filled under the shade hangover.

I think AZ deserves a winner more than any other city.

There aren't any excuses for the poor turnout, but why would Skkorp come crying to you if ESPN syays anything?

They should have moved to the shade in that case, I'd say. with only 28000 people, migration south is always gonna happen.

We had some transients in our section this game, and they were really very welcome. Some North End Zone (upper) college guys came down to South EZ section 38 and helped light the crowd on fire. They fit in nicely and happily were out of the sun. It would be awesome to have them move down again if seats are available, because they were great down there--and we were loud.

It was 100+ on the field at game time and I have no clue where they got 90 from but it certainly was hottert then that.

How would you know how many were there. You wern't at the game all you know is what you saw on the TV. It seems like you just want to start an argument.
