PEORIA, Ill (WMBD/WYZZ) — There are plenty of scenarios for the final week of the Missouri Valley Conference season as teams jockey for position for the conference tournament next week.
Bradley is in second place with two games left to play. Two huge games remain on the schedule.
The Braves (19-10, 12-6) play at UIC Tuesday. The Flames (16-13, 11-7) are a game behind Bradley in the race for second.
And the Braves finish the regular season at home Sunday in a match-up with Murray State (20-10, 12-7), which starts the week a half-game behind BU in the standings. Both UIC and Murray State beat Bradley in earlier match-ups this season.
Belmont (25-4, 15-3) has locked up the MVC regular season title.
“This is it. We’ve been here before, not with this young of a team,” said Bradley head coach Brian Wardle. “We have a lot of new guys in this situation. But that is where, as a staff, we have to have experience in how to win this time of the year. And practice well and smart.”
The Valley Tournament in March 5-8 in St. Louis.
