Found the answer:Does anyone know - if the Suns don't make the in-season tournament, do they play in that stretch at all?
I was wondering this as well, took me a while to find the answer but apparently there are games being played. From:https://www.nba.com/news/in-season-tournament-frequently-asked-questionsDoes anyone know - if the Suns don't make the in-season tournament, do they play in that stretch at all?
Edit: Beat me to it!> Why are there two games labeled as “TBD” on each team’s 2023-24 regular-season schedule?
Every team will play two regular-season games (including the In-Season Tournament Quarterfinals and Semifinals for qualifying teams) during the week of Dec. 4. The 22 teams that do not qualify for the Knockout Rounds will play two regular-season games during tournament off nights that week (Dec. 6 & 8). The four teams that lose in the Quarterfinals will play a regular-season game on Dec. 8.
What do you mean "that count"? I thought all the games counted it's just a matter of how they are scheduled if you don't have any other tournament games?! Is that not correct? I have not read the above yet.So the Suns will play two games in that stretch that count, so Beal is guaranteed to miss 5 more games, before re-evaluation
If they make it to the championship game of the IST, that game doesn't count in the standings. What do you mean "that count"? By the time he gets back _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ will probably be _ _ _ _ _ _ _.
You really think Durant can make it to Christmas without getting hurt?
I would grudgingly accept that... if someone absolutely forced me to, I mean.Pretty sure that winning team gets $1m checks across the board and losing team gets $500k checks for that game. Coaches get half that, so $500k each for winning and $250k for losing. So adding just 1 game, with a significant payday, isn't bad. I also think they get 1 less game in April because of how the league is scheduling things, which could be beneficial for anyone making a playoff push.
Everybody gets KD checks, basically. He makes $47 million a year so he'd make $573k a game, if he played in all 82. So I understand the incentive across the board.

LOL, these social media guys, I swear.
I remember him! Coro’s departure was hush hush. IIRCEven worse, he's the beat writer for the Suns from the AZ Republic/AZ Family. Come a long way from Paul Coro.

And Duane isn't afraid to ask tough questions - he's respectful af but he's still going to askPaul Coro was my favorite Suns beat writer, at least in recent times.
I give Duane Rankin credit, he travels with the team.
He provides a lot of information in real time we might not otherwise have and that other writers get second hand.
I've come to appreciate his effort.

They've said all along that it's not a structural issue.Hopefully, they can get Beal to a point he can play most of the remaining season. If this is a structural issue with his back it's not going away. However, the Suns sure could use him right now.
