DOWNS, Ill. (WMBD) -- Tri-Valley is coming off a nice run in the playoffs that went to the quarterfinals last season. This year they have 51 players in the program, but they only have seven seniors.
The Vikings return six starters on offense, including first team All-Conference running back Preston Johnson and add fullback Kix Yaklich to help out their run heavy offense. Among other changes to the offense is All-State safety Owen McLean taking over as the starting quarterback. Despite the changes, the Vikings believe they've gotten past the growing pains and are set to make another deep playoff run.

"I mean, obviously there's always stuff to work on, there's going to be mistakes made, but as long as we all hold our heads high, we're all working together, I think we're gonna do great," said right tackle Kyle Reeser.
"I mean this is one of the best offseasons I've had as a Tri-Valley athlete, and we've really just played good together, there's been little mistakes," said Yaklich. "I see improvement every day from everyone, we're getting better every day we play together."
Tri-Valley hits the road in week one to take on Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley.
