STANFORD, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) -- The Olympia Spartans think it could be a special fall.

They bring 16 starters back from a playoff football team that rushed for over 4,000 yards last year. Leading the way is senior running back Jimmy Lollar.

"I'd say I want a ring. I want to get a championship for Olympia, and I know all the boys want to get one too," said Lollar, who was a class 3A all-state player last year. "And I think that's really our mindset going into this season. It's ring or nothing."

Lollar is one of ten seniors on the coach Eric Lyons roster. Senior Brendon Hardiman and junior Kaden Collins share backfield duties with Lollar and give the Spartans a three-pronged attack running the ball.

Helping create the holes on the offensive line is senior Cael Halley, a Southern Illinois University recruit. And he likes this idea of the Spartans contending for a state title, too.

"I agree with Jimmy. I feel like we can get that ring, win the state championship," Halley said. "If we lose a game, we're going to get back to right where we were. When we're clicking on all levels, offense, defense, offensive line, running backs, quarterbacks, we're unstoppable. I don't think anyone can stop us."

Olympia opens the season at Auburn on Aug. 21.
