Oct. 17—MANDAN — Friday marked the end of the road for the Jamestown High School boys soccer team.

The Blue Jays dropped 2-1 to Minot in the consolation semifinal round of the 2025 NDHSAA State Tournament Friday. Jamestown finished the season at 7-10-2 overall. Minot High will move on to the fifth place match to face Century. The Magicians and Patriots will face off at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Jamestown put the screws to Minot early with a goal from Grady Eckart in the 23rd minute but the Blue Jays were only able to hold the lead for two minutes. Drew Bohlender made good on a penalty kick in the 25th minute to make it 1-1.

The score held for the rest of the first half — and the first 34 minutes of the second half.

In the 74th minute, Minot's Dylan Oswalt gave his team the lead with an unassisted goal.

Both teams recorded six shots on goal. Jamestown's goalkeeper Evan Harty made four saves.
