For the second consecutive season, Blachawk is back in the WPIAL 4A high school softball championship game, now getting set to take on a familiar postseason opponent when it faces off against top-seeded Elizabeth Forward on Thursday, May 28.
Here is what you need to know about the matchup between the two squads.
When is the WPIAL 4A high school softball championship game?
The WPIAL 4A high school softball championship game will be at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 28 at Lilley Field on the campus of Penn-West California.
For the second consecutive season, Blackhawk will be playing for a WPIAL championship.
Last season, the team played in its first WPIAL championship in program history, falling to Hampton 4-3 after holding a three-run lead in the sixth inning.
