Bills' Joe Brady reveals Josh Allen's new behavior that he hates originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.

Josh Allen is quite familiar with the Buffalo Bills' new head coach.

After all, Joe Brady was previously the offensive coordinator for the Bills before taking over for Sean McDermott this offseason.

That's a good thing. The Bills need their superstar QB to be in sync with the head coach, and he is.

Except in one way.

Brady hates a new tendency Allen has picked up since Brady became the head coach.

The problem? Allen is calling Brady "coach."

Accurate, yes.

Irksome to Brady, also yes.

“Honestly, the hardest thing is — it’s driving me crazy — him calling me ‘coach,’” Brady told The Buffalo News. “I hate that.”

This suggests that when Brady was just the offensive coordinator, Allen must've called him "Joe" or some variation of his name.

Now, Allen is devoting the additional respect to the man leading the football team. That should lead his teammates to do the same.

It is a little different when someone who is in one role gets promoted to a bigger one. It can cause slightly shifted relationship dynamics on all sides.

But at this point, it seems like Allen will probably keep calling Brady "coach." After all, that's what he is.
