Yep.

Just amazing that after all these years, people still don't recognize that there is one constant element throughout years of creating one of the most pathetic franchises in all of sports. With the exception of a 2 year period, we've been nothing less than a laughingstock.

Bidwills get a bad rap? Any serious sports town would have sent them out on a rail a long time ago. Their "results" are inarguable.

What I would give for a team that was competitive through November most years.
And let's not forget the Bidwills forcing Pendergast onto Whisenhunt when he arrived.

Whiz made some pretty big blunders, ones that get coaches fired no doubt. But the Bidwills were right there with him on stupid decisions. One person alone cannot create the massive debacle we have to endure every Sunday the past few seasons.

OVER TWENTY YEARS and STILL NO CHAMPIONSHIP for the state of Arizona in football. THERE IS NO EXCUSE for that. Look at what Jerry Colangelo did for the Diamondbacks. People were still hearing about the team when they won a World Series title against the best team EVER in baseball. WHY? Because he took some HUGE ORGINIZATIONAL hits, hits that he knew would hurt the franchise in the long run. WHY? Because he GAVE THE FANS WHAT THEY WANTED. A championship. Are the Bidwills willing to make those kinds of sacrifices for us? Hell no. Period.

Stop blaming the o-line. The problem is clearly at QB and the front office has had their input into that position over the years.
It "takes a village."

QB, the OL, the coaching, the evaluation and development of offensive personnel are all to blame.

Adding to the confusion is that, in a culture which depends on each individual doing his or her job - when one person fails to deliver, it has a domino effect on everyone else, so that it's difficult or impossible to isolate & assign blame.

When Derek Anderson was our starting QB, just a year removed from going to the playoffs, this organization let Karlos Dansby, Antrel Rolle, and Anquan Boldin walk out the door.

The result was the team was 32 million under the cap.

If the Bidwills cared they would have spent the money, and brought in the right players at that time.

Heck, they would have re-signed Anquan Boldin whom we have yet to replace..

There is no fire in the blood of the ownership. Championships are won because everyone in the organization spends every single day working to be the best. And doing - and spending - what has to be done to get the ring.

It starts with ownership. They have to demonstrate to their players they're willing to do everything to have a winning team. Draft top players, sign top players, and be willing to spend every dime allowable to make sure you get them.

(All these years in the blasting heat of AZ and they haven't even built their players an indoor practice field. At a dinky un-imposing practice facility that doesn't exactly scream WE ARE THE ARIZONA CARDINALS. Manning must have been underwhelmed.)

Then explain the 1-15 2011 Indianapolis Colts and the 8-4 2012 Indianapolis Colts with basically the same team other than Andrew Luck instead of Curtis Painter and Dan Orlovsky?

Having our level of QB's can make an entire team suck.

And look how Colangelo got rewarded for his efforts. Wins the World Series and the following year he can't even sell enough seats to break even. It cost him his personal fortune. Why would anyone be stupid enough to do this just to satisy a few fans?

My how time changes things. Everyone was singing praises for the Bidwill family and Graves when we unexpectedly went to the Super Bowl and now it's "The Same Old Cards". All the timely extensions for our core players are forgotten, we gone back to complaing about players who were let go 5 years ago and screaming about how bad we have drafted. Never mind that we have the best defense ever seen for the Cardinals or that we lost 6 starters on offense to injuries. We have lost 8 games in a row and heads must roll. Any heads and all heads. One hundred years ago, this would have been a lynch mob intent on hanging all who got in the way. "We want vengance" as they run from tree to tree hanging any hapless individual who happened to get in the way.

Do changes need to be made---absolutely. Will Mike Bidwill make them----I believe he will, but let's remember he has a lot of dollars at risk and is a good enough businessman to not foolishly throw money at a problem. Now is the time to sit down with associates, plan out the future of this team and make the moves at the appropriate times. It's time for carefully planned reactions and not "knee jerk" actions brought about by circumstances. This team is only a few players on offense away from being a great team. If handled correctly, most of the problems can be corrected in the coming year and we can be back into the playoffs in 2013.

I must say, I am really disappointed in Whis and this coaching staff. This last game with the Jets and the one before with Atlanta really pointed out how inept they are. I believe major changes need to be made, but that will be up to MB as it's his dollars at risk. I do believe major changes are coming.

I don't blame the Bidwills for this fiasco really.

They made good calls but they couldn't have known Whiz would have this fatal a flaw on QB's not named Warner.

That and the O line.

They gave him the keys and he wrecked the car, I do NOT blame them unless they let this car wreck go on much longer.

Same old cards would be letting a lame, horribly wounded duck play out the string to save money, I don't think they'll do that really but if they did without insisting on major changes then I'd lose all respect for them.

I'd even be ok with Whiz being stripped of all personell calls and firing Grimm and Miller but I doubt he'd go for that, just don't want to see them hold onto Whiz to save money if they don't do that here I'm good with them and their efforts.

Bid wills don't need to be advised on anything.nthey have owned and operated this team for 40 years. Their gonna do what they do.

Mike Bidwill has been around the NFL all of his life. He has no excuses for what is going on with his team. Do not make the mistake of thinking that he needs bad advice from anyone to screw up cause his family has honed their skills in doing that to a fine art.

It is the Bidwill''s responsibility for the way Whisenhut has scewed up their team. BTW, the Bidwills did not give Whisenhut carte blanch to mis-manage their team and that is exactly what Whisenhut has done in putting his personal coaching interest before the welfare of the team as well as his moral responsibility to win all games possible.

It is time to fire Whisenhut for gross failure to put the team's interest first before his coaching career. He is no better than Buddy Ryan who ran the team into the ground while pushing his own special interests first.

BS !! That move was all Kurt and maybe a little Brenda. Not the Bidwill's. He got greedy and pushed to break the bank on a two-year deal with ZERO intention of ever playing both seasons. Screw that.

You have got to be kidding! This has gotta be Rod Graves hiding behind this name. Yeah, the Dark side rises. Yo chump!

Try to rewrite history any which way you can, but this sorry saga was all documented by the local papers and the tV news media. The Cards front office dragged their feet and tried to squeeze Warner into a low-ball contract AFTER he took and carried the team to the Super Bowl. After the 49ers ownership saw an opening to improve their team, they were not mealy mouthed nor indecisive wringing their hands. They sent their private jet and tried to sign Warner. And they would have except Singletary kept telling Warner he would have to play his offense which was a run first, ball control offense. Warner delayed signing and came back. Being shamed both nationally and locally for their poor and disrespectful treatment of Warner, the Bidwills put the hammer on Graves and told him he had to sign Warner right away, which is what transpired on his return.

Instead making fiary tales and other things up, this is all documented in all of the archives of the Republic, Tucson Daily, NYT, Sports Illustrated, and all of the local TV news video reports.

Rod, your job is not safe right now and no amount of lying will get you anywhere.

This is all pure speculation. None of the writers were personally involved in negotiations so to try and use this as actual fact is ludicrous.

Time nothing. Following up two NFC West titles by going 17-27 with some of the most horrendous offensive performances ever by a Cardinal team changes things. The Cards lost 15 of 18 games 2010 to 2011. Then go 11-2 and follow that up by going 0-8 and suiting up the worst offense in the NFL in 2012.

Yeah fans should just accept that and dance on down the road because nothing is wrong its just injuries and everything will be fixed by the same geniuses that have produced DeWreck Anderson and Max Hall and John Skelton and Ryan Lindley and 40 years of 5-11.

Wow, you're really going to compare one of the top 6 most winningest NBA franchises, with one of the worst 3 NFL franchises?

Talk championships all you want, one team has been consistently competitive, the other has been a total joke.

That's what complete and utter frustration will do to you.

And not a peep from ownership about the situation. It would take them five minutes to issue a statement (less if they actually joined the 2012's and used social media) to say, "Thanks for supporting the team during this rough stretch. All of us are committed to rebuilding the Cardinals and bring the Super Bowl Trophy to Arizona. We appreciate seeing you in the stadium and your support means everything to the team."

Say a few words about the coaching situation and let the fans know something is happening.

We're I the owner I'd definitely connect with the fans. They deserve to know what's going on IMHO.

So what exactly have Bidwills done to deserve to deserve a rap other than a bad one? One trip to Super Bowl in 2008? A handful of extensions?

How long can they live off of that?

Didn't they already do that after the 2010 season? The Bidwills are good customer service people they are just not good football people.

Don't you remember the letter from Michael Bidwill they sent out? I'm sure one of the better searchers on ASFN could find it.

It's always funny when people pat the Bidwills on the back for extending the contracts of their good players as if that's some commendable and revolutionary decision by the franchise. Um, it's done and been done for decades by every legitimate team in sports.

And it's also not really being truthful. See Boldin, Rolle, Dansby, etc.
