Texas A&M baseball capped off its midweek contests with a 16-7 win over Prairie View A&M, as the Aggies move toward another integral Southeastern Conference series this weekend.

Following the program's first SEC series loss since March 21 over the weekend against Auburn, the Maroon and White dropped from No. 4 to No. 8 in the college baseball RPI. The Aggies didn't risk falling any further on Tuesday night, as the lineup notched 14 hits and four home runs against the Panthers.

One of those homers was a three-run shot from Wesley Jordan, who made the most of his moment in the starting lineup due to Nico Partida and Chris Hacopian being injured and out for the contest against PVAMU. Jordan tied left fielder Jake Duer with a team-best four RBI in the game, as the designated hitter for the Aggies.

While the pitching staff has much room for improvement, and Michael Earely's club must work towards getting Hacopian and Partida back healthy and ready to go, the lineup is filled with some of the most electric hitters in the SEC.

Next up, Texas A&M will travel to Oxford, Mississippi, for a road conference series against the Ole Miss Rebels this weekend. Game 1 is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT on Friday, Game 2 at 4 p.m. CT on Saturday and the series finale at 5 p.m. CT on Sunday. The first two games of the series can be watched on SEC Network+, with Game 3 set to be broadcast on the SEC Network.
