I think we lose, and I hate to say that. They are a smart defensive team, and any predictibility we show on offense they will take advantage of. Our run game has to be our first weapon. The Bengals opponents are averaging 4.2 yards per carry, so I hope Shipp is ready to roll.

Tory James has three picks, and their LBs are fast and can tackle.

They have a good core of WRs, but Kitna isn't all that. (he has looked good the past two weeks, maybe he blows it this Sunday...) We need to erase Johnson like we did Owens, because almost 80% of the Bengals first downs come from passing.

It might come down to which QB makes a mistake.

AND lastly, our kicking game sucks! I'm glad Duncan made the game winner last week, but he can't be missing field goals on a regular basis. If we lost last week, everyone on this board would be asking for his head.

This game will be lost, not won, by a missed FG.

Bengals 24
Cardinals 21

Hopefully Mr.T's mojo will work in our favor!

I just feel that the Bengals are in better form than the Cards. I know you guys beat the 9ers last week, but we have been close in all our losses except for week 1.

We will shut down their running game. I don't think Dillon will be seeing much time, and don't expect Rudi Johnson to rush for over 100 yards on us. We'll come after Kitna like we did against Garcia, and force Kitna into making some stupid decisions. Kitna will throw 2 picks. Shipp will find it harder to run this week, but he'll still end with 80 yards on 22 carries (Hey, if you're going to make a prediction, go all out). Boldin will have I td reception, Shipp will run for another, and Duncan will be 2/2 in FG attempts. The Bengals will kick 4 field Goals and will be held out of the end zone. We'll sack Kitna 4 times and this will be a hard hitting, smash mouth game, like it was last week.

this

one will be our blow out game. Cards 28-10. The defense will play like it did last week, finally finding it's identity, and Kitna will blow it under pressure. Shipp and co. will have another 100+yd. game. This week will be different as for play calling, in certain situations, and clock management. Look for a bit more of an air attack this week as the beengals have to put eight in the box mucho tiempo!

Blowout? Come on...it's the Cardinals...when do they ever blowout an opponent? This ia a good Bengals team and they are playing hard..no letdowns. I think it will be won by a Field Goal 2 weeks in a row...

Cards will win this one because we are coming out from Texas for the game and the Cards always win when we show for any game other than the home opener.

Blake tries to make too many plays against his former team a la Ravens game and we lose a close one.

I like that Mojo!

BTW, did anyone else notice the liberal use of the word "mojo" by George Lopez in the Monday night pre-game hijinks? Coincidence that we employed mojo last week and then it's on a national broadcast? I think not. I think it's more MOJO!

Well - I'm going to the game and I literally can't remember the last game I went to that we didn't win - last year vs. Dallas, this year vs. Green Bay - actaully I think the last game I went to we didn't win was Halloween weekend three years ago - Coach Mac's first game at home against the Saints - now here's Jeff Blake, here's a former laughingstock of the league coming in to town (much like the Saints - -although the Saints had already proved themeselves much more than the Bengals have this season) and there is Coach Mac - so what happens? A good competitve game I think - but I think we lose nonetheless - call it 27-20.

I'm gonna have to see us actually regiester a pass rush for more than one game in order for me to expect it every game and Cincy has weapons at reciever that are actually used (Terrel has had an awful season - I don't know what the Niners are doing with him) - Mac also skated by last week because he was facing a carbon copy of himself on the opposite sidelines - Marvin Lewis is a better coach and that and overall talent and the notion that our guys get when they win a game that they are all of sudden worldbeaters - gets us beat - you know how many times I have heard our Cards says either after an early season win or a loss to Detriot that they have may have taken a team less seriously than they should have?

That being said - it would be a nice send off back to Cali to see them win.

Let's not forget that we have a ton of underfeated avatars at work this week. Whoever suggested that we wash away the stink of loss on our avatars is a genious.:D

I guessed the Cards win right last week but this week won't be kind to the Cards. In typical fashion, they follow up a big win with a stinker. Cincy has momentum that they will keep for another week...and Dillon back to wreak havoc on our decent rushing D.

We match up OK with Cincy.

But, as usual, the game will be won or lost "between the ears." Turnovers - one way or the other - will win or lose it for us.

Sorry to disagree with you but this is going to be the 35th anniversery 1968 Reprise CD for the Cards. That season they started 1-3 but finished 8-1-1.

Wait a minute, what am I doing!?!? Whatever I say the Cards do the exact opposite.

I'm nervous on paper they look better than I thought. Kitna has been quite good the last 4 weeks, 8 TD's, 1 pick. Chad Johnson is a top 5 NFL WR right now, maybe top 3. Warrick has gone from bust to premier possession WR he's basically their Boldin, not quite as big and strong of course but he does the same things exploits the middle of the field and makes a LOT of 3rd down catches.

Their defense is coming on, they seem to be a team that feeds off turnovers which has of course been a problem for us. Blake beat them twice last year and didn't throw a pick either game, but I think combined he had about 300 yards passing, in other words they ran the ball to beat them, we have to do the same thing.

They have allowed 17 sacks this year so maybe our pass rush can play as well this Sunday as we did against SF.

My concern is with only one week to prepare instead of 2 we won't be able to outscheme them as often as we did the 49ers.

I don't know how you can say we match up well with Cini. Their offense is predicated on speed. Chad Johnson, Peter Warrick, and Kelly Washington can all flat out fly. We are gonna get torched in the secondary.

Our only hope (scary as this may be) is pass rush. We need to get pressure on Kitna ALL DAY. We need to bring it fast so the speed of the Bengals' wide outs can't be utilized.

Let's hope that DJ and Pace make another monumental step this week in practice.

Maybe Jim O can ask the groundskeeper not cut the grass again this week. Slow down the field.

Warrick actually isn't all that fast, that was one of the knocks against him early in his career everyone thought he would be faster. Washington can run but he's a big guy and only just starting to be integrated into their offense. Johnson is the guy who scares me that guy is a REAL talent.

If we can get some hits on Kitna the way we did on Garcia we should be able to keep it close, maybe even knock Kitna out and then get a shot at exploiting Carson Palmer's youth. But Cincy looks to be a team on the verge of being pretty good this is a winnable game but personally I think they're better on paper than the 49ers.

Simple Breakdown

Bengals are:

3-0 when positive turnover differential
0-1 when even turnover differential
0-3 when negative turnover differential

Cardinals are:

1-0 when positive turnover differential (GB)
*1-0 when even turnover differential (SF)
0-5 when negative turnoner differential

* Personally I view a blocked punt as a turnover (same result,
typically). Counting the blocked punt would move the SF
game to a positive turnover differential

Therefore:

This Sunday the Cardinals will win the turnover differential (3-1)and win the game

Cards win again.

We are a different team when we're healthy on the line. We saw last week what a rotation at the point of attack can do for us. Add to that a more equitable rotation between Marcell and Damien, and I think we can run at will against the Bengals.

The Bengals are improved, but Dillon will be made an example by Marvin Lewis, and they're in the desert, not the rust belt. A few hits like the gridbirds dished out against the whiners last week, will have the Bengals wondering how long till the game is over.

Plus, Beef is comming in for the contest, and we never lose when he's in the house.
