The Cincinnati Bengals might rank all over the place in NFL power rankings depending on who’s got the pen.
But they always slot in the top 10 when it comes to NFL jersey rankings.
Case in point, the latest example comes from Sports Illustrated's Mike Kadlick, who ranked every jersey in the NFL and put the Bengals’ stripes fifth overall out of 32 teams.
Kadlick wrote the following: “This one may be controversial, but the “New Stripes” uniforms the Bengals introduced in 2021 are a slam dunk. The ability for them to mix-and-match between orange, black and white jerseys and pants allows them to adjust their look as they see fit, and the addition of their White Bengal helmet created the iced-out look that they pair with their annual Paycor Stadium whiteout.”
Hard to say who thinks the Bengals’ jerseys slotting highly as controversial might be, as they generally seem to be one of the more popular fits out there.
The Bengals redesigned their jerseys in 2021, then have layered atop the modern overhaul with fun things like themed alternates and the beloved white-striped helmet.
We’ll see if the Bengals have anything special planned as far as throwback jerseys or new alternates as soon as this summer. But the fresh look to accompany the Joe Burrow era has been a hit, to say the least.
