Ben Rice has joined some incredible New York Yankees franchise history.

The list he's on now includes all-time legends Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig.

What exactly did Rice do?

He became the fifth player in Yankees history to have six extra-base hits, eight RBI and four walks (at least) in the first six games of the season -- according to NY Yankees Stats.

He did that with another big game on Friday, including a home run:

Rice also missed a second home run by just a couple of feet:

And now for that list.

Rice joins 1926 Lou Gehrig, 1932 Babe Ruth, 1994 Paul O'Neill and 2003 Bernie Williams as Yankees to start the season with those stats.

Rice broke out last season and made the Yankees' first base job his own.

This season, he was the unquestioned top dog for that spot, and he's proving early on that he might just be one of the best hitters in the American League.
