Bemidji Bantam B1 team qualifies for state tournament

Mar. 6—BEMIDJI — The Bemidji Bantam B1 youth hockey team is headed to state after winning the North Region Tournament.

Bemidji beat Rock Ridge 3-0, North Shore 7-5 and East Grand Forks 5-1 en route to a regional championship. It's the second year in a row that Bemidji has won the regional championship.

Bemidji will meet seven of the other best Bantam B1 teams in Woodbury on March 13 for the start of the state tournament.
