Dec. 6—CROOKSTON — The Bemidji State women's basketball team needed overtime against Minnesota Crookston, and its defense came in clutch.
The Beavers outscored the Golden Eagles 10-0 in overtime to clinch an 86-76 victory in Crookston on Saturday.
Fresh off her game-winning basket against Minnesota State Moorhead, Kassandra Caron once again led the Beavers in points with 23. She was 15-for-18 at the free-throw line. Evyn Eppinga, who scored 19 points, led the team in rebounds with seven.
Gabrielle Fineday and Brooklyn Wood had three 3-pointers each, both team highs. Aubrey Heyer led the Beavers in assists with four.
