I was born in East Chicago and lived in Hammond until I was 8. Think Driving form Queen Creek to the stadium in Phoenix, but with worse traffic. Not sure if it has changed, but no alcohol sales in Indiana on Sundays when I was a kid.
Edit - Before 2018, Indiana was one of the last states to ban Sunday retail alcohol sales
