Last season, Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams dazzled the NFL on a near-weekly basis with his impressive escapability and improbable throws. But it was the end of his breakout sophomore campaign, under the bright lights of the postseason, where he shined brightest. Now, it's earned Williams a nomination for "Best Play" at the ESPYs.

For Bears fans, their first thought is likely: Which play? Because Williams had multiple. Whether it was the fourth-and-8 throw to Rome Odunze against the Green Bay Packers during the wild-card playoffs or the walk-off touchdown to DJ Moore in Week 16 against the Packers (which won "Moment of the Year" during the NFL Honors back in February).

But it's Williams' impressive, improbable and downright insane touchdown throw to tight end Cole Kmet on fourth-and-11, with the game on the line, in the divisional playoffs against the Los Angeles Rams that officially garnered the nomination for "Best Play."

The reactions to @CALEBcsw’s game‑tying TD? Almost as unreal as the throw itself.@insidetheNFL NFL Playoffs Mic'd Up on X pic.twitter.com/OEfX0pcgrr

The other nominees for "Best Play," include the USA Olympic Men's and Women's Hockey team's respective gold medal goals, UConn stunning Duke with Braylon Mullin' buzzer-beating three-pointer during March Madness and OG Anunoby's tip-in for the Knicks to complete a 29-point comeback in the NBA Finals.

Williams faces some stiff competition in the category, especially by Anunoby's impressive tip-in that paved the way for the Knicks' first championship since 1973. You have to wonder if the fact that the Bears lost this game against the Rams will give voters pause.

The ESPYs air Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and the ESPN app.
