The Chicago Bears have had a very busy offseason, from the hiring of head coach Ben Johnson to remodeling their entire offensive line through free agency and trades to welcoming new rookies to the roster through the 2025 NFL draft.

Headlined by their top two picks in tight end Colston Loveland and wide receiver Luther Burden, Chicago continues to add weapons for second-year quarterback Caleb Williams under his new head coach.

This week, the Bears received more praise for their 2025 draft class as CBS Sports ranked their top 10 draft classes, and Chicago just made it outside the Top 5. Loveland, Burden, offensive lineman Ozzy Trapilo, and defensive tackle Shemar Turner, who were selected in the second round with Burden, were all listed as the team's impact rookies coming into this upcoming season.

Here's what CBS Sports had to say about putting the Bears as the sixth most impactful draft class, and they were the only team in the NFC North to crack the list.

This ranking is buoyed by Loveland and Burden, Chicago's first two selections that clearly were made with Caleb Williams' Year 2 maturation in mind. My mind can envision the diverse ways head coach Ben Johnson will utilize those two offensive weapons -- they'll hardly be static pre-snap, and with D.J. Moore, Rome Odunze and Cole Kmet already established in the offense, both rookies should get favorable matchups against safeties and linebackers somewhat often.

There is no shortage of talent coming in for Chicago's draft class this year, and that just means more weapons for the new head coach, and plenty of optimism for the fanbase. The biggest question for the Bears in 2025 will be the growth and development of Williams. But with weapons all over the field on offense for him, and with a highly-regarded offensive minded head coach, Williams will have very little room for excuses or failure.

It'll also be up to Johnson to find the best fitting roles for these rookies, as Burden likely projects as the team's third receiver, and Loveland will play opposite of Cole Kmet at tight end. What the team will do with Trapilo and Turner also remains to be seen, but they'll likely come into training camp with an opportunity to compete for a bigger role in their rookie season.
