FRISCO, Texas – Quarterback Austin Reed completed 22 passes for 240 yards and four touchdowns, three of them to receiver Tyler Vaughns, as the Dallas Renegades throttled the St. Louis Battlehawks 31-15 on Tuesday night.

Vaughns caught a game-high 11 passes for 146 yards. Reed completed 61.1 percent of his passes for a 106.3 rating.

The Renegades converted 50 percent of their third downs (5-10) and were perfect in the red zone (3-3).

For their part, the Battlehawks lacked consistency on offense. Quarterback Brandon Silvers threw an interception on the Battlehawks’ opening drive. He’d finish with a pair of interceptions and one touchdown, completing 56.4 percent of his passes.

Tyler Neville caught the Battlehawks’ lone TD pass, his one catch of the day.

St. Louis’ rushing attack was blunted, as Silvers and running backs Kevon Latulas and Jarveon Howard combined for 47 yards on 15 carries.

The Battlehawks are 1-1 on the season. They face the Birmingham Stallions on Sunday, April 12, in The Dome at America’s Center.
