Barcelona still pushing to sign Club Brugge starlet Jesse Bisiwu after €10m bid rejected

Barcelona are reportedly stepping up efforts to land Club Brugge’s Jesse Bisiwu as they aim to bring in the exciting 18-year-old this summer.

Club Brugge have rejected Barcelona’s first bid of €10 million for Bisiwu but negotiations between the two clubs are set to continue, according to Het Nieuwsblad.

The report adds that Barcelona are “willing to go to great lengths” to sign Bisiwu who is into the last year of his contract with the Belgian side and looks set to leave this summer.

Club Brugge sold Kaye Furo to Brentford earlier this year for €10m but inserted a sell-on clause into the transfer, and there’s speculation a similar formula could see Barcelona finally land Bisiwu.

Barcelona have been monitoring Bisiwu for some time now and remain keen to add him to the ranks. However, they will have work to do to convince Club Brugge to part ways with the teenager this summer.
