Barcelona are being linked with a surprise move for ex-Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior who has recently completed a permanent transfer to Porto.

Kiwior joined the club last summer on loan but Porto have recently activated the €17 million purchase option in his contract.

Reports in Poland now claim that Deco has shown an interest in Kiwior and has made contact with Porto about a potential transfer in the summer.

Barcelona had made Alessandro Bastoni their top defensive target but talk of a move for the Italy defender has now cooled, with the Catalans prioritising signing a replacement for Robert Lewandowski instead.

Kiwior is seen as a cheaper option to Bastoni and could emerge as a serious target if Barcelona do decide to add another defender to their squad in time for next season.

Would Kiwior be a good defensive option for Barcelona this summer? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
