BA is a great head coach, leader and motivator.. but his offense sucks. I'm not just talking about personell here. The ridiculous 'cute' plays at critical times that always get blown up, the bad receiver routes that rarely get anybody open, the inconsistency from game to game.. it's all really bad. We saw Lindley have success against the 49ers by airing the ball out, especially to Floyd down the sideline. Barely saw any of that today. Mostly short screens (with no blockers) and poorly designed running plays. BA's offense was not good it Pittsburg (carried by defense) and it's not good here. I know his ego would never allow it, but I truly believe that we need a new OC before this team can take the next step. The other NFL offenses are evolving. BA is stuck in the past.

/rant. :)

Just in case you don't know the rules... If you criticize BA you're automatically a hater.

I know this is sarcasm.. But I'll address it for anybody who might really think this way.

I love BA as a head coach.

I think he's a poor OC.

Agree... His playcalling was ass, even more so when Palmer went out.

Lindley was destined to fail, but JC.. He did him no favors with the playcalling.

run up the gut... 1 yard
run up the gut minus 2 yards

This sequence was repeated over and over and over again.

How many 3rd and longs did his predictable playcalling put this poor kid in?

It doesn't matter most folks on here aren't nearly 50 years old and haven't followed this team for over 40 years.

Nothing about this year was anything but Cardinal football.

Whatever success you get will at some point leave you exactly like Larry Fitzgerald in the Super Bowl going. NO NO NO!

This team is like an icon of bad luck.

It eventually gets the head coach even the good ones.

BA is not immune to being criticized.

He did a wonderful job getting us to where we are. But he made mistakes a long the way. Most notably is staying with guys when they should have been replaced. Some of his play calling was questionable.

It would take a miracle to turn Lindley into a NFL QB. An OC would not be the answer for that mess.

I don't understand BA being loyal to Ginn, Lindley and Butler to name a few.

He isn't the first coach to be loyal to fault and he won't be the last. Regarding Ginn, don't even have to bench him. Just communicate to him to take a knee on anything past two yards of the goal line.

If he had done that earlier in the season we could very well have 1-2 more wins. It was clear after 2-3 weeks that Ginn returning kicks from 7 yards deep had a significant impact on field position. Especially with our QB situation it's mind-boggling that he continued to let him return kicks that deep.

You all know the definition if insanity.

Critisize who you want, but unless Jesus himself intervened there is no way in hell you can look good calling plays with:
a QB that shouldn't even be on the playing field
no running game.
and a TE that only catches passes when the are 3 yards short of a first down.

Earlier = before today

If you want to defend Ted Ginn be my guest.

Ok. That's not how I read it... No gonna defend Ginn. He is a big hairy kitty-cat... Special teams has sucked both years under BA.

I thought the play calling was atrocious today. I don't know why he didn't take the SF game plan and use it this week. It was obvious they weren't going to run the ball. Still, it's hard to question Arians calling a game.

Was it true if BA got the Bears' head coaching job he would've brought Whiz and Russ Grimm in as his OC?

I think his offense is too complicated for our personnel. I like Chip Kelly's and Pat Shurmer's style. If they can make Nick Foles and Mark Sanchez into legit QBs, wow.

When did he become a legit QB? In fact Kelly's system shows average to below average guys can put up numbers.......until it matters.

This. It was like Whiz was out there calling plays. But yes we need a true OC.
