Sunday was a busy day on and off the field for the Braves, but an overall really positive day. Atlanta was able to get the win over the Rockies, as Spencer Strider was a bit shaky in his first start of the season. The Braves swept the Rockies, mainly thanks to elite offense to continue their historic start to the season. Furthermore, Atlanta received good news on Ronald Acuna Jr., who suffered a Grade 1 hamstring strain on Saturday. While he was added to the 10-day IL, it was the best news possible from the injury scare.


Braves News​


As roster moves were made over the weekend, Joel Payamps will head to Triple-A while Jose Suarez was claimed by the Mariners.

Rasiel Iglesias should be activated from the IL on Tuesday, joining Sean Murphy as returning Braves in Seattle.

Strider was not thrilled with his peformance on Sunday, but was glad to be back on the mound.

The Braves are the top team in MLB.com’s power rankings.

The Yankees will keep shortstop Anthony Volpe at AAA for now.

Cal Raleigh remains day to day with a calf injury.

Joe Ryan left his start early on Sunday with right elbow soreness.
