Let's see:

1. Game is on Halloween;

2. WSU students out of school, will be very loud, very inebriated;

3. ASU lost last time they played there;

4. I understand that the team flies into Spokane, drives to Moscow to stay, drives to Pullman for game;

5. Weather at 7:30 PM kickoff with be about 45 degrees and dropping with a chance of chance of rain;

6. WSU has the 6th most prolific passing attack in the nation, whereas ASU's secondary has been shaky;

My prediction;

ASU 43
WSU 27

Totally set up for a classic let down after their dominate win over Washington.
ASU's weak secondary plays right into the strength of WSU. This could be a disappointing road trip...
I'll not lose total faith though, and go with a 48 - 45 win for the Devils....

WSU - #6 in passing; #56 in scoring
ASU - #14 in passing; #6 in scoring

I'll take ASU for the win!

The previous posters are correct, that this road trip does set up as a classic trap game. But I don't think this year's team has the same mentality as recent ASU teams. I believe they will take care of business this week.

Good read here on Marion Grice
http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/_/id/86879/asu-rb-grice-full-of-wow-moments

It has a discussion of ASU coaches trying to think of who Grice reminds them of and not being able to come up with anybody since he is unique. The guy he reminds me of is former Dallas Cowboy 3rd down specialist Preston Pearson. I can see Marion Grice playing that role in the NFL someday. He is an excellent receiver coming out of the backfield. Great hands and there is no way a linebacker can stay with him.

Not a bad comparison... Just not sure the NFL of today has a need for that type of back. Perhaps... however, can you think of any backs over the past 3 years or so that fill that type of role? Not totally sure why that might be, however, it seems to me that the NFL has moved away from using backs extensively in the receiving game...

Looks like Taylor Kelly has got past his road issues for one game anyway.

Hoping to see some subs now but that just doesn't seem to be a Graham thing.

The 2nd team did get some time against UW (I'd have been fine if they hadn't, ranked teams are always dangerous). I'll backtrack some but I've noticed even in blowouts, we don't see as much subbing as I would have thought. For example, Foster was still getting touches even with a minor ankle issue.

Solid win by ASU. Great job by Taylor Kelly, the new road warrior. We won by 34, and it wasn't that close.

It was cold and it was the Northwest where the Sun Devils have fallen apart before.

Nice win for the Devils to establish their game and not look back. The crowd did not seem to be a factor because the Devils took them out of the game early.

This pissed me off also! I ended up turning the sound off, because all they kept talking about was BCS rankings, Oregon, Stanford and Florida State.

Possibly the worst annoucing job I have EVER witnessed. :pullhair:

Rece Davis, good ol' boy from down south. Personally I think he is really knowledgable when he talks football, but he really will talk about anything on his mind and goes off on tangents fairly often. He used to call into Doug and Wolf and is pretty insightful in that format.

There was a lot of concern about the team before this win, a lot of negativity and skepticism. What do you all think about ASU at this point after the pummeling of WSU?
