Arizona State had two players chosen in the MLB Draft in the first round.

Spencer Torkelson 1B went to the Detroit Tigers #1.

And SS Alika Williams to the Tampa Bay Rays at #37.

It's the first time ASU has had two first round selections since 2008.

Arizona State has produced four number 1 picks.

Auburn's Conor Davis reportedly heading to Tempe. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Davis started all 18 games at first base in the curtailed 2020 season. The 6-foot-3, 227-pounder hit .339 (20-for-59) with 17 runs scored, six doubles, three home runs and 14 RBIs. He also led the team in walks with 13.

Kai Murphy is transferring to Arizona State.

Kai Murphy, son of former Arizona State baseball coach Pat Murphy, is transferring to ASU.

Murphy is a two-way player who could contribute as ASU as a left-handed pitcher and position player.
