Arsenal to step up pursuit of attacking signings after agreeing deal to sell winger

Arsenal have confirmed that a deal has been agreed to sell Leandro Trossard to Besiktas.

The 31-year-old has been granted permission to travel to Istanbul to complete a medical and move to the Turkish club.

Trossard joined Arsenal in 2023 from Brighton, playing 174 times for the club since then and playing a key role in helping Mikel Arteta’s side to win the Premier League last season.

He made 31 Premier League appearances during the last campaign, scoring six goals and setting up another six.

The Gunners are set to receive around £17m for the Belgium international.

Trossard’s sale and the end of the World Cup this weekend will see Arsenal step up their summer transfer window activity and their efforts to strengthen in attack.

Morgan Rogers remains the top target for Arsenal, with Bradley Barcola and Julian Alvarez also on their radar.
