Renee Slegers has confirmed that Alessia Russo, Chloe Kelly and Lotte Wubben-Moy are available for Arsenal’s Champions League semi-final first leg against Olympique Lyonnais.

Russo withdrew from England’s April international squad after picking up a knock on her ankle against Belgium. Kelly also withdrew from Sarina Wiegman’s squad with a foot injury before returning to Arsenal for rehab, while Wubben-Moy suffered a muscular injury in February.

Kelly went through some individual fitness drills before joining the training group on Friday, which Russo, with strapping on her right leg, and Wubben-Moy were already part of.

“Alessia and Chloe are both available tomorrow.” Slegers said. “Both players have been working really hard to get to this part. They are available for a lot of minutes tomorrow.”

Elsewhere, goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar did not train and is not expected to be part of the matchday squad for the first leg against Lyon.

Slegers has given the goalkeeper, who suffered an injury away on international duty with the Netherlands, a chance of being ready for the second leg.

“She is progressing really well,” Slegers said. “We will see when and where she will be available for us again. I can’t share any more but I’m just saying it’s positive and the progression is going well.”

Manuela Zinsberger started Tuesday’s win over Leicester City in Van Domselaar’s absence.

Arsenal’s semi-final meeting with Lyon sees a reunion with former head coach Joe Montemurro, who led the side from 2017 until 2021. The Australian took charge of the French side this summer after three years at Juventus, and has them first in Division 1 Feminin with an eight-point advantage over Paris Saint-Germain.

The second leg of the semi-final will take place at Lyon’s Groupama Stadium on Sunday, April 27.
