Arizona hosted a slew of recruits over the weekend, and some of them liked the visit enough to decide Tucson is where they want to play college football.
Jaylen Oliver, a defensive back from Texas, was the first to announce his commitment from this weekend’s official visits.

Oliver is a 6-foot, 170-pound safety that plays for Westfield High School in Houston. He played his first varsity season last year as a junior. He finished the season with 41 tackles, 2 for a loss, 2 interceptions and 3 PBUs. As of yet, Oliver has not been ranked in either of 247Sports’ ranking systems.
On the recruiting front, Oliver has 15 reported offers. He chose Arizona over Illinois, Louisiana Tech, Mississippi State, New Mexico, New Mexico State, North Texas and Pittsburgh to name a few.

Oliver is one of two recruits from the 2027 class that announced their commitment to Arizona on Monday along with 3-star Texas defensive back Luke Stevens. Overall the Wildcats have seven pledges for 2027.
