Things are starting to pick up steam for the Arizona Wildcats on the recruiting trail. Brent Brennan and his staff added three public commitments to the 2027 class after the first weekend of summer official visits. On Sunday night, they added another.

Logan Draper, a defensive lineman from Texas, announced his decision to play college ball in Tucson after his spending the weekend in Tucson.

Draper is the second member of this year’s Arizona to hail from Westfield High School in Houston, joining teammate Jaylen Oliver, who committed last week. He originally played at Eisenhower High School in the Aldine area before moving over to Westfield for his senior season. He has gained solid size, starting at 6-foot-2 and around 240 pounds, to now at 6-foot-2 and over 290 pounds.

Draper has 11 reported offers, with him choosing Arizona over Colorado State, Louisiana, New Mexico, New Mexico State and UTSA to name a few. He currently isn’t ranked by either of 247Sports’ ranking systems. He is rated as a 3-star prospect on Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, a very credible recruiting service focused on prospects from the Lone Star State.

Draper makes the fifth member of the 2027 class from Texas. The others are, Wayne Shanks Jr., Oliver, Luke Stevens and Ahzan Bacote. All told the UA has seven commitments for 2027.
