It’s springtime in Arizona, and there’s plenty of activity happening.
College baseball and softball are nearing the end of the regular season. Phoenix Rising FC's USL Championship soccer and Arizona Rattlers seasons are in full swing, with new women's club Desert Dreams FC's inaugural season soon to start.
Here are the news and events happening around Arizona sports.
The Arizona State baseball team (29-16, 14-7) defeated Long Beach State 11-1 on Tuesday, April 29.
Isaiah Jackson's two-run home run in the fifth inning gave the Sun Devils their first lead of the game and the offense kept coming. ASU will finish the two-game series against LBSU at Phoenix Municipal Stadium on April 30 at 6:30 p.m.

Arizona State ice hockey alumni Joey Daccord and Josh Doan were named to Team USA's roster for the upcoming 2025 IIHF Men's World Championship in Herning, Denmark and Stockholm, Sweden, on May 9-26.
Daccord played goaltender at ASU from 2016-19, while Doan was a forward from 2021-23.
ASU is tied for the second-most alumni on Team USA's roster, joining Boston College and the University of Michigan with two representatives each. Only Minnesota and Boston University have more, with three players apiece.

The Arizona State volleyball team will kick off its 2025 season at the second annual State Farm Women’s College Volleyball Showcase at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
ASU will face off against defending national champion Penn State, national semifinalist Pitt and TCU in a four-match event from Aug. 31 to Sept. 1 to be broadcast on FOX and FS1. ASU will face Pitt and Penn State on dates and times to be announced later.
