The Arizona Cardinals have let quarterback Kyler Murray know that he will be released Wednesday, March 11, on the first day of the new league year, according to multiple reports.
Murray thanked the Cardinals fans in a post on X.
The Cardinals will owe Murray full salary — $22.8 million, minus the league-minimum money he is paid by another team.
Arizona could not find a willing trade partner, who would have had to commit north of $70 million for this coming season and next.
