Only if Monti wants to lose his job. And, as bad as he is, I don't think Monti wants to lose his job. His only out will be if he says he needs to try again with his own QB. Gannon will be on board with that because it will buy him time too.
At 2-5.. kyler just needs to be traded before the deadline. The move should have been fire Petz at 2-2.. see if kyler was the further the problem then dump kyler at end of season.

At 2-5, you get rid of both. Literally no point in keeping kyler on a lame duck team that ends with 5-8 wins. Where’s that put you in the off season? Maybe Kyler’s value is a tiny higher for trade? Maybe? But I don’t see so as teams know you’re moving off of him.

I agree that Petz should have already been gone. I don't think they can trade Kyler until after the season due to the cap, but I'm no expert.

I think we have to wait until the off season to trade him due to financial reasons

A couple of posters have spelled it out

Unless Dallas loses the next few, and Monti likes Dak. Thats about the only NFC team that I could see trading for him(outside chance of Minnesota). AFC maybe Las Vegas, Pitt. Miami has be in full tank mode pretty soon and no one wants Tua for beyond his play. Jets have to be tired of retread QBs.

Market is going to be even more limited than even I thought.

That Kyler injury news sucks. After such a classic cardinals catastrophe last week, I was really interested to see how a Gannon team responded. I mean… I didn’t have much hope, but at least it lent some air of intrigue toward the game tomorrow and that’s kinda just flown out the window. Also, Gannon’s on hot seat for first time and now he’s got built in excuse for failure because as mid as I believe Kyler is, Brissett sure as ish, ain’t the answer.

This is so dumb. Nobody wants Kyler to fail. Go back to his great game last year and re-read all the slobbering us "K1 haters" were doing over him. You know, these takes make you look so freaking bad, because everyone here knows people love Kyler when he plays at the top of his game. SMFH
Couldn't like this enough. Hell I did it this year after the 49ers game. I said he played good enough to win. It's just hyperbole. Nobody wants to see anyone hurt. I believe it was sarcasm when that poster said that anyway.

What has this guy ever done to get your unmitigated love?
Winning record - nope
Great stats - nope
Throw on time - nope
Stand tall in the picket - nope
Exhibit shear panic - yep
Become check down Charlie - yep

I just don't get it

Oh and way to debate the topic/post instead the stans just go on full attack mode.
Forgive because he doesn’t know better. If we were to win again with Brissett, he will give Kyler some kind of credit.

There have been posters that hoped he got injured please spare me this naïveté
I was one of them. Know why? Cause I’m sick of seeing the same dumb, inadequate and redundancy from a 7 year Qb. I’m sick of 1 good decision or play once every 8 plays.
Here’s reality. Kyler is a loser. I’m sick of watching him. If we are going to lose. 2 out of every 3 games I’d rather watch someone else.

No they'll say Jacoby is a great QB too that petzing can't call plays for. If Jacoby does well they say petzing is calling a different game cuz he don't like Kyler. Either way there is an excuse card waiting to call out the number that fits the narrative.
