The Arizona Cardinals had a busy day Monday and one of the players they agreed to terms with was defensive lineman L.J. Collier. He was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent at the start of the league year Wednesday.

He played only four games in 2025 because of a knee injury, but can provide depth and leadership on the line.

We have the details of his one-year contract.

L.J. Collier contract details

Collier’s contract is worth $2 million and has $750,000 guaranteed, which includes a $350,000 signing bonus and $400,000 of his $1.265 million base salary.

There are also $20,000 per-game roster bonuses for a maximum total of $340,000 and a $45,000 offseason workout bonus.

Because he played four games last season, only $80,000 of the roster bonuses count against this year’s salary cap. That creates a cap charge of $1.74 million.

Because the team’s 51-player cutoff was $1.005 million, one player is bumped, which creates a net addition of $735,000 to the current salary cap.

After the contracts were added for Collier and kicker Chad Ryland, the cutoff is now $1.017 million.
