I've done the banana thing for years. Saw a monkey do it once and figured they knew a thing or two about bananas.

Tried the apple thing today. Nearly choked to death on a stem. Just kidding. I found the top of the core to be really starchy and not very sweet, like the rest of the meat on that fruit. I'll go back to the ignorant way.

:D

Am I the only one who has never struggled to open a banana the non-monkey way?

Seriously.

What kind of wimp can't peel a freaking banana?

A third way is to snap it in half :hulk: and peel both sides as you please.

It's not like they come with directions. Geeze. Fruit is hard.

I prefer the monkey way even when both ways are as easy, but the monkey way does seem to work a little better when the bananas are still more green than yellow.

Also, lettuce discuss how to open an avocado.

I like to lie the avocado flat, then take a swift chop into the pit. Just hard enough for the knife to stick in the pit. From there, it is easy to separate the avocado into two halves, while the pit sticks to the knife and is easily discarded.

How do you all do it?
